366 Days of Making Art

Day 51

So today fell through faster than a missile on a cardboard roof.

up late
still haven't meditated yet.
Ate anything and everything.

Composed a single phrase.
But I still composed.

spent a lot of time just thinking
no reading
barely even able to brush my teeth.

But as a good friend said today
"The path is always there"
Triston Brooks
So much thinking about death
and choice
and mistakes
and the way things get there,
they get there.

If then's and should have's

If it could have just been different.
Could it have?

There is only going forward.
As much as the mind likes to trick itself.

Going to get a volume swell pedal tomorrow for that
sweet and dreary touch,
on my grandfathers slide guitar.
He died piloting a plane that crashed on July 1st 1960 in the Idaho wilderness.

My mom was six.
He was the only one on board that died.

If then's and could have's

See you tomorrow lovelies.
