I spent so long figuring out signal flow after my month long process just quit working. But I'm able to reliably create the secondary Messina' from scratch on every startup now and trouble shoot issues as they arise.
I spent some time sending a sample of my grandmother humming in the kitchen through the voicelive2 signal chain, distorting it and adding harmonies. It would take some serious editing because of the amount of noise from a phone recording. But I did art today.
I also spent quite a lot of time reading a sound on sound article about bon Iver and Chris Messinas process for the 22 a million album and was stoked to see such a large collection of resources relating to the process.
Apparently Justin Vernons guitar tech posted a picture of his pedal board and he also has a tchelicon voice live 2 that they use in the studio in addition to the eventide h8000. Noice Mr. Vernon. Noice.
I also found the person who mastered 22 a million AND Wednesday's Rat Saw God, an album I was obsessed with as I started this project earlier this summer. Added on the good old Instagram.
Did a lot of looking into applying to ut Austin butler school of music. Gotta get the ball rolling. Made a master list and subdivided each task into several smaller lists.
And for that.
I'll see you tomorrow lovelies.
