Woke up at 3:30 am couldn't go back to sleep. Dreamt about my father, mostly underwater, and sharks. And an early 90s reunion/flashback to when my grandparents were alive. The entire dream I was watching things happen. Not involved. Like a movie. Underwater I wasn't worried about breathing. Just watching things occur. Same at 'reunion' like I was watching VHS tapes. Spent most of the morning prepping for grad applications. Sorting out details, refining lists and continuing actual applications. Tomorrow will be working on resume/c.v. and completed works/performances list. Finished another book. How to win friends and influence people by Dale Carnegie. Book no. 24. Almost done with man's search for meaning; Viktor Frankl, I can't say I'm done with it until I finish the appendix, post script, and selected letters and essays. That'll be book no. 25 with 5 more after till my goal of 30 for the year. I can get back on. I can do it. Wasted a lot of time during the day on YouTube and Instagram. Blah. Got meditation done early, day 2 of foam rolling for an hour. My art was unlocking the power that is guitar rig 6 pro in logic with my complete ultimate 14 upgrade(amp and fx simulator vst within kontakt plugin suite) . Even with just an acoustic guitar mic'd (electric direct in is a hitter signal with virtually zero extra noise, best for saturated effects. The live mic recording of acoustic sends every sound in the room through. Though this can be used creatively, sending a fan sound through ambient layers creates a really interesting sound and stimulates creative play) New level unlocked. I haven't had that much fun playing guitar since I was in high school. That really kicked in the creativity. So many options. Scoring the feature length film I'll be working on will be a blast and a beast. No cap on God. And I'm already thinking of all the other things I can do with it. I can send my lap steel through it obviously. Plenty of tweed twang and reverb effects that will go great with my volume/swell pedal. But also I can send my homepatched harmonizer voicelive 2 through it for some super innovative sonic textures and layers. It's not just a guitar effect vst. It can work on any waveform I put into it. Voice. Heck the saxophone would probably be lit going in the harmonizer and out some saturation delay and some sort of waveform distortion. I'm so freaking stoked. I have to sleep. See you tomorrow lovelies.
